Company origin
A. Hopf GmbH goes back to the company foundation in 1949 by Mr Anton Hopf. During this time, known as a starting point in the history of plastic injection moulding, Mr Anton Hopf started as one of the pioneers in the area of plastics processing, with one of the first machines doing individual orders and smaller serial orders. In the following years- marked by a constant expansion of the company- Hopf company was able to process a line of different products.

1953 Anton Hopf established its first large manufacturing plant in Zirndorf/Germany with its own mould making and he started extending his products by doing thermoplastic injection moulding.

Further developments
1977 Dipl. Kfm. Hans-Jürgen joined his father’s business and since then he is as a part of the company’s management jointly responsible for its further development.

For an ongoing extension of the company and for building up a large customer base in different fields-like electronics, furniture- and packing industries, toy industry, mirror and glass production, household goods, medical- and safety technology- the company has been able to build up a largely varying field of raw material- and machine types.

By this variety the company succeded by showing competence in binding and supporting clients by extensive advisory, service and decision integration along the product life cycle.

So today we stand for long-term relations with our customers by an outstanding costumer consulting and service along the product life cycle based on a direct and close communication between our clients and us.

In 1980 the company was changed into a GmbH- since then the company’s name A. Hopf Kunststoffverabreitung (plastic processing) GmbH does exist. The letter “A” in the company’s name comes from the name of the founder Anton Hopf, who died in 1989. Further milestones in the company history are the establishment of a second manufacturing plant and the construction of a clean room production for medical devices.

With Mr. Dipl. Bw. (FH) Alexander Hopf, MBA joining in 2004 and Dipl. Bw. (FH) Michael Hopf joining in 2009, already the next generation is successfully leading the company together with Mr. Dipl. Kfm. Hans-Jürgen Hopf. Whereas Mr Dipl. Bw. (FH) Alexander Hopf, MBA, is responsible for Marketing and Sales and Mr Michael Hopf manages the Finance and Controlling department.

Internationalisation of A. Hopf GmbH
Due to a focus on precision injection moulding for the safety market, in the medical field and our investments in innovative new product developments we have been able to network with international customers and companies. Therefore our company is selling its products globally. With international trade fair exhibitions and worldwide operating large customers as well as the sales to medium sized and smaller customers in the European Economic Area, especially over the last few years, the company’s name A. Hopf GmbH Kunststoffverarbeitung “Plastics Processing” stands as a synonym for quality, precision, reliability and flexibility.
